Send confirmation emails from your own domain

Since March, we've been incredibly busy onboarding new customers and rolling out product improvements. As a result, we haven't had the chance to post our regular product updates.

But today, we're excited to bring you our latest bumper release product update!

Here's a quick overview of what we've been working on:

  • Custom email domain
  • Unarchive pages
  • Dynamic prices for subscriptions and payment plans
  • Hide product variants
  • Display connected Stripe account
  • Product variants user experience improvements

Custom Email Domain

Add your email domain to send emails from your own email address

You can now send confirmation emails from your own email address!

No longer will your customers see confirmation emails from payments@checkoutpage.co. Instead you can use your own email address and sender name for confirmation emails.

Here are some awesome benefits of sending confirmation emails from your own email address:

  • Brand consistency: Confirmation emails will now align with your brand identity.
  • Increased trust: Customers will trust your email domain more.
  • Easier replies: Replies to confirmation emails will be sent directly to your inbox.

Setting this up is quick and easy, with just two steps:

Step 1: Add your email domain

  • Add a new email domain
  • Configure your DNS settings
  • Verify your domain

Step 2: Add a sender signature

  • Add a sender name
  • Specify the email address you want to use for confirmation emails

For detailed step-by-step instructions, please read our guide on setting up a custom email domain.https://checkoutpage.co/help/articles/custom-email-domain

This feature is now available for Funnel Builder and Strategist customers.

Unarchive Pages

Unarchive previously archived checkout, event and form pages

You can now unarchive previously archived checkouts and forms!

For a long time, you could archive a checkout or form, but unarchiving them wasn't possible. We've now fixed this issue, and you can reuse your archived pages.

To unarchive a page, follow these simple steps:

  • Filter your pages view by "Archive".
  • From the dropdown menu on the right of each page, select "Unarchive".
  • This will take you to the edit view, where you can make any necessary changes to your page.

We highly recommend checking the page's URL slug, as it may have changed since you archived it.

This feature is now available to all customers.

Dynamic prices for subscriptions and payment plans

Dynamically customize the price of a subscription or payment plan

You can now easily customize the price and number of payments for subscriptions and payment plans directly in the URL using query parameters.

While it's been possible to customize the price and product info for one-time checkouts for some time, this update extends the same functionality to subscriptions and payment plans.

Here's how to set it up:

  • Create a checkout page for a subscription or payment plan.
  • Navigate to Settings > Dynamic price.
  • Check the boxes for "Price" and "Number of payments."
  • Open the checkout page.
  • In the URL, use the following query parameters to adjust the price and number of payments:
  • Use ?price= to set the price.
  • Use ?no_of_payments= to set the number of payments.
  • You can use these parameters separately or together.

That’s it! Now, when your customers visit the checkout page, they'll see the updated price and number of payments.

Here are some examples:

First try this link to see a subscription at $10 / month https://templates.checkoutpage.co/dynamic-price-example

Now let’s customize the subscription plan using query parameters in the URL.

Add ?price=10000 sets the price to $100 / month.

https://templates.checkoutpage.co/dynamic-price-example?price=10000

Add ?no_of_payments=10 sets the number of payments to 10.

https://templates.checkoutpage.co/dynamic-price-example?no_of_payments=10

Add ?price=10000&no_of_payments=10 sets the price to $100 and the number of payments to 10.

This feature is available to all customers.

Hide product variants

Visually hide product variants in your checkout

You can now visually hide product variants on your checkout pages and display them using query parameters in the URL.

Imagine you have a pricing table with three subscription tiers. Each tier has a button to subscribe, and in your checkout, each tier is a product variant. You can hide each product variant and only display the appropriate one when a link to a particular tier is opened.

Here's how to set it up:

  1. Create a checkout page with some product variants.
  2. In the settings for a product variant, select "Hide variant". This will visually hide the variant from your checkout.
  3. Use the following query parameters in the URL to adjust the price and number of payments:
    • Use ?show_variants= to display a hidden variant.
    • Use the variant option SKU to select a variant option.
    • These parameters can be used separately or together.

Here are some examples:

We’ll start with a subscription checkout that has 3 subscription tiers:

  • Launch $29 / month
  • Grow $49 / month
  • Scale $79 / month

Each is a product variant and all of the product variants are hidden.

See this link:

Now let’s customize the make a variant visible and select it using query parameters in the URL.

Add ?show_variants=plan-launch to make the variant with the reference of “plan-launch” visible.

https://templates.checkoutpage.co/hide-product-variants-example?show_variants=plan-launch

Add ?show_variants=plan-launch&plan-launch=launch to make the variant with the reference of “plan-launch” visible, and select the variant option with the SKU of “Launch” selected.

https://templates.checkoutpage.co/hide-product-variants-example?show_variants=plan-launch&plan-launch=launch

Add ?plan-launch=launch to make the variant option with the SKU of “Launch” selected, but without making the variant visible. Notice the “Total due” in the checkout breakdown updating.

Visually hidden variants can be pre-selected and will still be active even when hidden.

This feature is available to all customers.

Display connected Stripe account

We now display the name and ID of your connected Stripe account in your store settings.

This change is especially helpful for customers with multiple Stripe accounts or sub-accounts, making it easy to check which account is connected to Checkout Page.

To see your connected account, navigate to Settings > Stripe and Payouts.

This feature is available to all customers.

Product variants user experience improvements

Previously, adding and editing multiple product variants could become overwhelming, especially for customers with many variants per checkout. It was often hard to keep track of which product variant you were adding or editing.

Now, when adding or editing a product variant, all other variants will be closed. This change helps keep you focused on the task at hand and prevents you from getting lost in the process.

This feature is available to all customers.

That’s it for this bumper-release product update!

Feel free to reach out with any thoughts or suggestions you may have. We're here to listen and make improvements based on your needs.

Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Best regards,

Andy
